Fall is one of the most beautiful times in Northern Michigan, and the Cadillac area is a great place to experience fall color. Coolwater Campground is surrounded by the Manistee National Forest, which has many great “leaf peeking” color routes and scenic areas. These areas are within minutes of Coolwater and are great day trips. The Pine River is also a great place to experience fall.
